Review Summary
Dr. Nicholas Perricone’s Three-Day Nutritional Face-lift™ is a high-protein, low-carb diet that claims to give the skin the same results as a face lift. The prescribed diet involves eating salmon 2-3 times a day together with fresh fruits and vegetables. It does not include foods with refined sugars and starches.
Signing up for the free electronic newsletter gives dieters access to the 3-day diet and a daily meal plan complete with serving sizes and choices for variety.
| This diet serves as the springboard into the 28-day diet plan called The Perricone Promise – Look Younger, Live Longer in Three Easy Steps. The book which features the diet and its benefits is priced at $27.95. |

The Plan
The diet features foods with high antioxidant content, something which makes a lot of sense as these substances are good for the skin and are known to have anti-aging properties. The 3-day duration however is not long enough to produce results which is probably why it segues into a 28-day diet. Compared to other diets this one is easy to manage especially for people who love salmon. This fish is loaded with omega 3 fatty acids which slow down signs of skin aging. For those who do not like fish, tofu is offered as an alternative. Now whether tofu works as effectively as salmon is unclear because there are so many kinds and no specific type is recommended.

Diet Lifestyle
This simple diet may be appealing to people who want to improve the quality of their skin. It also gives the body a break from a diet that is full of unhealthy substances. At the same time, this diet does the system good by flushing it out which contributes in keeping it balanced and functioning efficiently.

Positives

Final Thoughts
The 3-day diet looks like a well designed cleansing diet which is less restrictive than most. The salmon provides the fatty acids, the fruits satisfy the cravings for sugar, and alternative snacks which are light and healthy are also suggested. Black and green teas have the caffeine that most people cannot easily give up, at the same time these beverages are packed with antioxidants. Sticking to a diet stripped of toxins even for just a short period of time cannot but have positive effects though perhaps not as dramatic as the Dr. Perricone claims.
There have been hundreds of books written on the benefits of eating raw foods, detox, and cleansing diets. This 3-day diet is clearly not a real weight management approach. It appears to be more like a clever marketing ploy to get dieters to buy the real merchandise which is Dr. Perricone’s book.
